Causing controversy with reveal trailer, Catherine: Full Body E3 2018 trailer seems to have ‘matured’.
Raising eyebrows and questions back in December 2017 upon an announcement for a remake of 2011's puzzle platformer adventure title Catherine, Atlus and Studio Zero has been quiet for some time for their upcoming game Catherine: Full Body for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. E3 2018 brought us so many new reveal of exciting titles from various big-name developers and publishers, which was no exception for Atlus as well and a latest trailer is released for the remake lately.

Since we are way past initial tease, the new E3 trailer focuses more on the story and less on the naughtiness. Still there is some as it is one of the base aspects of this game.

When Full Body was announced and players saw the reveal, everyone learned that there is a third "Catherine" and judged by all the in-game hints came to the conclusion that she is a trans-woman. Although she is not the only trans character in the game, it quickly sparked a lot of criticism from fans and critics. However, Atlus did not clarify that by releasing any official comment and lets it remain as a mystery to find out later. Fortunately, this trailer moves past Rin’s identity.

Already caught in dilemma of having Catherine and Katherine in his life, Vincent Brooks is torn with his feelings and moral decision, where most of the focus of the whole footage was. The love triangle he was tangled in has now become a square now that pianist Rin from the Stray Sheep bar has also fallen for him and it is getting harder keeping track of all these affairs. Then there is characterized sheep, conspiracy, murder, nightmare realm creating a complex puzzle around his life.

Taking note from past backlash, Atlus tactfully avoids the entire topic and tries to intrigue us to this adult adventure by giving glimpses at other features. We think, if there is a twist regarding Rin’s character, it may turn out interesting. The other trans-woman is waitress Erica Anderson from Stray Sheep, where Vincent hangs out with his friends very often. Catherine: Full Body will be released on 2019 America and Europe but we are still missing a specific date.
