PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Tequila Sunrise Event
We had an early announcement from developer PUBG Corporation on Steam community that they will launch limited-time event mode within an update for PC and Xbox One very soon. This timed event and a new Custom gameplay mode will shake things up for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for good. Already made a name with the unique concept of Battle Royale to put on a map ad fight to a standstill for victory and a Chicken Dinner, it already became one of the top selling video games of all time.

Even after pulling that feat, PUBG had no time for rest as its insane popularity soon lured out a couple of competitors in the market, most of which are just different versions of rip-off of the original. Fortnite Battle Royale of Epic Games however, managed to become their main rival after so long when they recently broke record for most number of concurrent viewers on Twitch and currently ruling the charts.

Many believe that Fortnite's biggest plus point is the free-to-play nature of the game and PUBG Corp. should do something similar. Epic Games also had a timed event called Blitz Mode for Fortnite Battle Royale a short while ago. The developers have been at work for some time and they even put out a new map for beta testing already. Clearly, that wasn't enough and now here is "Tequila Sunrise" event mode for fans with a new challenge.

Four player squads will be competing for Battle Royale supremacy on Miramar map with only shotguns and melee weapons for combat. Matching is by default "On" but you can simply turn Auto Matching off if you are not a fan of the feature.

A brand-new game mode called War is currently accessible in custom games and the Savage map is currently in-testing. War is a much more intense version of Battle Royale taking place on Erangel map and pitting all contestants in a circle for shootout. Now, it completely depends on the developer whether or not they will play with the possibilities to make this thing big or drop at some point though. PUBG needs to keep grinding as they just won't have to topple only Fortnite but many others in line.
