Bohemia Interactive is introducing extraterrestrials into next ARMA 3 spin-off expansion Contact, arriving on July 25.
Tough military tactical shooter game ARMA 3 from developer/publisher Bohemia Interactive is largely known for their realistic interpretation of military combat, things are about to be changed in their upcoming new spin-off.
Bohemia has just announced for an expansion titled Contact that is going to introduce extraterrestrials into ARMA franchise to take a giant leap from their regular territory of conflict and is currently scheduled to launch on July 25.

A brand-new announcement trailer offers an initial look of what Contact would unleash upon us when it is here.

This upcoming spin-off expansion would include a single-player campaign titled "First Contact" on Livonia map covering 163 square kilometers of terrain. Players have to sort out how to approach aliens and spaceships now that they are here.
Aside from given access to new weapons such as AKU-12 Carbine, Assault Rifle, RPK-12 Light Machine Gun, Mk14 Hunting Rifle and Kozlice Shotgun, there will be two new factions; Livonian Defense Force of NATO allies and Russian Spetsnaz.

Multiplayer scenarios include Combat Patrol, Warlords and Zeus Game Master modes while offering free bonus contents like civilian clothing, gears, NATO Woodland Camouflage and official soundtracks for owners of ARMA 3.
ARMA series of military simulation games have always adhered to realism in terms of campaigns and gameplay but looks like Bohemia Interactive is trying to adapt and change with modern scenarios to stay relevant to current era.

In past, both DayZ and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds were born out of ARMA 2 mod to change gaming experiences for PC platform. With their current approach to go off the book with Contact might end up into something very interesting.
