Contra Anniversary Collection Lineup Revealed
Konami has revealed official lineup for upcoming Contra Anniversary Collection including variant Contra titles.
In order to celebrate their 50th anniversary, developer/publisher Konami has announced a series of "Anniversary Collection" featuring their classic fan-favorite titles from past few decades and is enhanced with up to date features.
Recently, they have revealed complete lineup for upcoming Contra Anniversary Collection that would be packing some select titles from their popular run and gun-style shoot-'em-up series Contra in a single bundle with a digital book as bonus.

Original five mainline games that includes within this compilation are Contra, Contra: Hard Corps, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Operation C and Super Contra from arcade, Game Boy, Genesis and SNES era of gaming.
Others inclusions are ports of different version of Contra games mentioned above Famicom, Genesis, Mega Drive, NES and SNES systems. A free update will be released shortly after launch to add Japanese versions of six games.

Contra: Hard Corps marks the only title from this anthology that was never released on other platforms except for Sega Genesis. Memorable series feature "Konami Code" is also returning to have players get 30 lives and revive their nostalgia.
Although it would feature a total of ten titles, only five of them are classic Contra titles and rest five are just European counterparts or ports. Apparently, Konami did a far better job in compiling Castlevania Anniversary Collection together.

It is a real shame for Contra 4, Contra ReBirth, Contra: Shattered Soldier, Hard Corps: Uprising or Neo Contra not making it somehow and instead trying to slide some European variants with basically a few sprite changes in the mix.
Even though no official release date has yet been announced, Contra Anniversary Collection is currently expected to arrive sometime this summer on Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $19.99 only.
