Fallout 76 Nuka Cola Dark Rum Outrage

Bethesda managed to make Fallout 76 fans mad once again by doing Nuka Cola Dark Rum bottles wrong.

If you think for moments that developer/publisher Bethesda Softworks will let the year 2018 go without making any more headlines, you are absolutely wrong! However, this time they had to irk the fans with something other than their game Fallout 76.

If struggling with the overall sales of their latest venture of online action role-playing with the Fallout series wasn't enough, they have now annoyed the fans by doing their Nuka Cola Dark rum bottles completely wrong. Tough break!

Nuka-Cola is a soft drink that exists within the fictional world of the game and the company decided to file a patent for it after partnering up with Silver Screen Bottling Company. Currently it is available in limited amount for the price of $80.

The drink inspired by the game eventually came a month late and fans remained very patient on that but then they got really pissed about the bottles it came in that looked like cheap plastic rather than being made of glass.

After all, they expected something that would be higher in quality for the solid price they paid and even though it may look like a misleading marketing, both parties involved in creating and selling the product has a lot to answer for to the paying customers.

Players go to social media platforms to voice their frustration but then again, Silver Screen Bottling Co. never really specified what the bottles would be made off and people just assumed that for the overprice they paid, they should at least get a glass bottle.

Fans were never really on board with the idea of the title being strictly online but they waited for it anyway and got a buggy game at the end of the year as a payback for their anticipation. Then these customers were denied refunds because of Bethesda's strict no return policy.

You might think that they would stop there but then they try to outsmart the customers who pre-ordered the $200 worth F76 Power Armor Edition by handing them over cheap nylon bags instead of the West Tek canvas duffel bag they originally promised.

Things started to worsen when a law firm took interest investigating the matter from within after noticing wave of complain from pissed off customers towards the developer and only then they announced to keep their promise by replacing the nylon bags.

When the news came out about Nuka Cola Dark, people knew for sure that the developers are not going to make actual alcoholic beverages and expected to get the product in some sort of glass bottle to keep it as a collectible item. Otherwise, why they would spend so much on a bottle of rum?

Some may say that people are overreacting and probably trying to take a dig at the company just because they need an excuse to do so but getting ripped over twice in a year by someone as reputed as them really give you trust issues that you cannot really shake off.

Bethesda could've simply ended the year by being more serious to their commitment to the consumers after all the debacle they already faced but somehow, they haven't learned anything at all and making their loyal fans angry with each move.
