Resident Evil 3 Remake Leaked on PlayStation Network

Shortly ahead of an awaited reveal, first look of Resident Evil 3 Remake got leaked on PlayStation Network.

Ever since long-anticipated survival horror classic title Resident Evil 2 Remake was released earlier, developer/publisher Capcom has been working on development on remake of its sequel or as it appeared according to some rumors.

Turns out, all those sweet rumors from past months were actually true as Resident Evil 3 Remake cover art has been leaked lately on PlayStation Network shortly ahead of an official announcement, spotted by Gamstat.

There were only words of speculations and some occasional vague tease by Capcom so far but now there is finally some hard evidence. Data-miners have dug out some official covers on tracking site Gamestat that showed up at PSN.

Lead character Jill Valentine and her ally Carlos Oliveria have received a revised look along with titular antagonist character Nemesis. Two protagonists are standing on backdrop of Raccoon City while their relentless stalker is looming over it.

Twitter user Nibellion posted all three promotional images in a recent post after it has been leaked earlier.

Both Carlos and Jill look very different in their revised form than their appearance from 1999 original game. Nemesis however, doesn't look any less scary at all and is now featured on promo unlike his predecessor Mr. X from RE2 Remake.

In past couple of weeks, reports are coming in pretty strong for an upcoming reveal of RE3 Remake, which is set for a 2020 release and scheduled to show up either at The Game Awards 2019 or Jump Festa 2020 later this month.

One of these cover art for Japanese region shows off a special edition titled "Biohazard RE: 3 Z Version". Since the cat is out of the bag already, Capcom may decide to reveal the game a little earlier than originally expected.

Given how RE2 Remake has seen immense success this year, release of Resident Evil 3 Remake was almost inevitable. This leak clearly indicates of an official confirmation that may come soon in form of a new teaser trailer anytime now.
