Halo: The Master Chief Collection Becomes Best-Selling Steam Game
Right after launching on PC, Halo: The Master Chief Collection becomes top-selling game on Steam.
After recent change in business strategy of introducing first-party games on PC and Xbox consoles in recent years, Microsoft Studios have announced to bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC via Steam earlier this year.
Five years after original release on Xbox One, players can finally enjoy Halo: MCC on a platform other than console and this definitive series compilation becomes top-selling game on Steam following recent inclusion of Halo: Reach.

Master Chief Collection on PC comes with key-features like better optimization settings, 67 campaign missions, over 120 multiplayer maps, access to Halo Insiders program and more, which are clear improvements over Xbox release.
MCC bundle debuts with Reach and will continue to launch five more remaining titles by ending with Halo 4 in 2020. Those games will be adding more single-player and multiplayer content, which would possibly draw more players then.

Before debuting on popular PC gaming platform Steam, players had to purchase through and play the game using Windows Live service. However, things have changed for better and Microsoft is even offering Xbox Game Pass for PC.
Launching in parts, you can purchase MCC at Steam for $39.99 only or get it on Game Pass for PC at just $5.99. Currently, they are offering a deal of only $1 for three months but fans are mostly heading over to Valve outlet.

Right now, Master Chief Collection is outperforming other global top-selling and most played games like Monster Hunter: World and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, both of which are available at 50% discount on the platform.
Although Microsoft is more interested in garnering more members for Game Pass service, Xbox head Phil Spencer considers people buying the game on Steam or their subscription service a major win despite their main focus on the latter.

Military sci-fi first-person shooter series Halo undoubtedly is one of the most iconic video game franchises from Microsoft Studios but MCC topping PC sales chart was largely unexpected now that it is gotten old and was buggy at launch.
It has likely happened because Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been a console-exclusive that has debuted on largest community platform for PC players and Microsoft has fixed a lot of its issues for port over past few years.
