State of Decay 2 May Come to Steam
During a developer livestream of Xbox Exclusive State of Decay 2 at PAX East, an error message states "Unable to connect with Steam".
Open world zombie game State of Decay 2 is a sequel of 2013's original State of Decay from Undead Labs and Microsoft Studios. Though the game is an Xbox One-exclusive, it will also release for PC or you can play it on any of these two platforms with support from Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere system. Aside from being available on Microsoft Store, the game might also find place on Steam, according to some recent hints from PAX-East 2018.

Now that the video containing that error message is removed from Twitch archive of Undead Labs, it can no longer be considered as a mere buzz. While it might seem a bit weird giving up one of their most prominent title for another platform, it also makes sense if you consider this a step to sell more copies for PC. Besides, if this rumors and speculation came true then we shouldn't be very surprised because the first game of the series was initially released on Steam’s Early Access alongside Xbox 360.
