With the rise of Nintendo Switch handheld console in recent years following its 2017 launch, many indie games with great potential are finding a new audience to reach out to and that essentially has helped them to grow exponentially.
Though Nintendo mostly focuses on major upcoming releases and big-name anticipated Switch ports during their Nintendo Direct presentation, this time they decided to go with indie games and is introducing Indie World Showcase.

Risk of Rain 2 | Nintendo Switch
First title that kicks-off the presentation is an upcoming third-person shooter Risk of Rain 2 with rogue-like gameplay elements and an interesting setting that comes from developer Hopoo Games and publisher Gearbox Publishing.
Heading to Switch this summer, there will be 10 playable characters at launch that you can pick from to enjoy playing with up to four person. Similar to its predecessor, you venture out various levels, collect loot, kill aliens and repeat.

Eastward | Nintendo Switch
A single player adventure ride that centers on a mysterious white haired little girl named Sam in a post-apocalyptic world. Eastward is created by developer Pixpil and publisher Chucklefish, coming to Switch platform in 2020.
In order to find true origin of Sam, player character John goes out of his way and embarks a journey into a hostile world. Although it has a retro vibe, it is beautifully-detailed instead of entirely adapting a pixilated graphics style.

Torchlight II | Nintendo Switch
Announcement for Switch version of action role-playing game Torchlight II came months ago and now a release date is revealed for September 3, 2019. Also coming is exclusive in-game pet; a pink unicorn and yapper to keep you company.
Explore a dynamic open-world created by developer/publisher Runic Games that comes with a new game plus mode. Hack and slash your way into this fan-favorite dungeon crawler to slay monsters and earn loot alone or with up to four friends.

Although almost every other game is trying their best to get a Switch version out for the platform these days, long-time Xbox console exclusive Ori and the Blind Forest is one particular game that took the literal cake here for players.
