Call of Duty 2020 Rumored to Be Black Ops Reboot
According to rumor, Call of Duty 2020 game is going to be a reboot of Black Ops sub-series and grittier than Modern Warfare.
Starting from this year, Call of Duty first-person shooter franchise is slowly leaning towards a reboot of their popular sub-series and thus, fourth Modern Warfare release is simply referred to as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for 2019.
Although CoD: MW is currently due for an October 2019 launch, publisher Activision has already rallied up developer Treyarch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 5, which may end up simply being named Call of Duty: Black Ops instead.

Set during 1961 and 1968, first Black Ops title has served as a sequel for Call of Duty: World at War and had Cold War as its premise. This is a hint of series reboot similar to Modern Warfare, which went back to roots of their first game.
Originally, Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games were working on upcoming Black Ops title, which is set to be on Cold War era. It was likely to feature some story campaigns based on Korean and Vietnam Wars as well.

This rumor came from Twitter account of TheLongSensation, a YouTube insider who previously confirmed MW reboot.

When Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games collaboration for Call of Duty 2020 wasn't looking too good, Activision has put Treyarch in charge of creative leadership to have the project running from that point onwards.
