Torchlight Free on Epic Games Store Now
On their latest weekly games giveaway, Epic Games Store offers acclaimed action RPG game Torchlight for free.
In a running streak of offering players free games on PC platform periodically, Epic Games continues to bring more titles to their digital storefront Epic Games Store and following E3 2019, they shifted from biweekly to a weekly schedule.
Last week, they announced to giveaway action role-playing hack and slash game Torchlight from developer/publisher Runic Games to players as a freebie title to add to their collection before July 18, 7:59 PM PT/10:59 PM EST.

Players would enter a fantasy town full of caverns and dungeons, where they are to encounter hordes of twisted creatures. Fans of dungeon crawler experience loves to slay monsters and collect loots, something the title is well-known for.
After picking a hero from Alchemist, Destroyer and Vanquisher, while tagged along with a pet cohort, you are to jump into action. An engaging, Diablo-styled gameplay helped it stand out among many from respective genre of ARPG.

A critically acclaimed action RPG from 2012, Torchlight is succeeded by a direct sequel in 2012 and developers are currently working on an upcoming free-to-play MMORPG that is looking forward to a 2019 release window.
Although PC version of the game was sort of an exclusive release on Steam until now, Epic Store has managed to broker a deal with Runic Games for folks with an account on their platform and then give it to them for free of charge.

In an attempt to encourage players to come on board, Epic Games intends to drop more free game until the end of 2019. Also, their giveaway lineup has been slowly improving now and it can actually help drive more people to their outlet.
