The creator-owned comic-book series The Walking Dead from Image Comics by writer Robert Kirkman (Battle Pope, Invincible) has done all sorts of wonders from its launch in 2003. When AMC television decided to adapt the book for television, the series have been breaking countless records on cable TV history and currently on its eighth season. Another spin-off show Fear The Walking Dead is growing its audience as well.

The franchise also spawned a couple of successful games for mobile devices and other platforms. Seems like, The Walking Dead is aiming for being the most adapted concept on various media. Following the insane success of the free-to-play mobile game Pokémon GO, The Walking Dead is coming soon with the AR technology for their upcoming mobile release The Walking Dead: Our World.
Developer Next Games have dropped a sneak peek gameplay trailer for upcoming The Walking Dead: Our World on YouTube recently.
Those who have already played the predecessor game employing AR technology could immediately relate the similarities between Pokémon GO and The Walking Dead: Our World, well, except for the end of the world part of course. Since the game is based on AMC television series, which means you may bump into Carl Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Glenn Rhee, Rick Grimes or Michonne cleaning up zombie hordes as well as yourself.

While you clear up your surroundings off the zombies, you will level up and be sure to check for new weapons according to their class and rarity. At the Games Developers Conference (GDC), The Walking Dead: Our World is expected to premiere along with a few other AR games. The game is open for pre-registration and hopefully will come out sometime later in 2018.
With Telltale Games' episodic survival horror take on the series, gamers on many platforms are already in love with the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead. Plus, another adventure of the undead world set in Washington is coming soon in Overkill’s The Walking Dead.
