The highlight of the update is that is enables ranged intelligence hero Dark Willow in Captains Mode, which makes her character available for professional tournaments from now on. Dark Willow was introduced to the game in October, 2017 though the "Dueling Fates" update. Since this is the first time she is in Captains Mode, we still have to find out how she fares in competitive tournaments. Currently, the character has a 54.69% win rate in 5,000 MMR and above.

Base gold bounty for Bounty Rune was 50, which is now increased to 10, making it 60 but it no longer gives you XP. Tome of Knowledge XP bonus has increased to 200, as it was 500 before and now it is raised to 700. Melee Creeps gold bounty was previously 41 and now it has become 40 after reducing just 1. As an alternative for branch, you will get a Faerie Fire for Randoming. Bonus hero count is slightly increased from an earlier 10 to 12 now.

A wide array of heroes from the likes of Abaddon, Ancient Apparition, Arc Warden, Axe, Clinkz, Crystal Maiden, Drow Ranger, Jakiro, Lina, Lion, Lone Druid, Monkey King, Nature's Prophet, Riki, Rubick, Skywrath Mage, Undying, Venomancer and Warlock got their Level 15 Talent increased, whereas Anti-Mage, Invoker, Luna, Necrophos, Phoenix, Sven, Treant Protector and Wraith King got it changed or improved slightly. The majority of change is related to Cooldown and Damage.

We see a vast number of heroes having their talents altered in different ways and abilities tweaked with this patch. In some cases, a few got the boot as their attack radius has been scaled down or exchanged with something else. Aspects as Health, Range and Speed got the secondary priority in update 7.10. Arc Warden, Gyrocopter, Invoker, Lina, Monkey King and Warlock are probably the ones that has received major tuning during the process.

That's all for now from Patch 7.10 and according to their announcement of biweekly release of updates, IceFrog and Valve will be introducing two patches for Dota 2 every month. Despite the changes make some people happy and some furious for not having what they had in mind, we only hope to see the best outcome from them when they are tested on live matches to help the players strategize.
