So far, Overwatch has introduced five extra playable hero characters after the release of the game back in 2016. We had two offensive heroes Doomfist and Sombra, Ana as a support hero and tank hero Orisa. The latest addition to the roster was support hero Moira, added to the gang in November 2017 and now we got Brigitte as another support player, which makes the number three among the additional heroes list.

Below is the newest animated short clip featuring the origin story of hero Brigitte Lindholm from Overwatch.
Brigitte will be the first Overwatch character added to the game in 2018 and she also appeared in the “Honor and Glory” animated short. Growing up as the daughter of defense hero Torbjörn Lindholm, Brigitte used to work with her father in his workshop and she was always inspired by her mentor, tank hero Reinhardt. So, she eventually decided to join the fight with a custom-built armor of her own when she realized that she can do more than just building weapons and fixing armors.

Here goes another video of Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan giving up details on the story, abilities and other aspects of the newest character Brigitte.
Brigitte's melee weapon Rocket Flail has the power to knock of a couple of enemies in an extended range at the same time with one single swing. She has an ability called the Repair Pack, which can be used to heal up a teammate and if that player is already at a full-health, the healing will act as armor to them. Other than the former, she wields abilities like Barrier Shield, Inspire, Shield Bash and Whip Shot to either take damage or knock opponents down.

The Ultimate Ability that Brigitte possesses is called Rally, which gives her boosted agility to move faster while shielding her teammates with armor within a certain range. Development tweaks in her character made her better than Torbjörn or Reinhardt and she is more than suited to stop Genji or Tracer during a match. Because she wanted to do more than patching, her gameplay style totally matches the attitude.

The reveal of Overwatch's previous support Moira at BlizzCon 2017 surprised the fans but for some reason, people were not as much excited as the developers hoped for. Brigitte's announcement however is a complete different case and as she is live on game’s test servers, Blizzard will issue her full release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One very soon.
