Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair Free on Epic Games Store Now
Epic Games Store wraps up 12 days of free games giveaway by offering a free copy of Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair.
Though Epic Games originally announced to offer at least one freebie title on their digital distribution outlet Epic Games Store for each day until yearend, they seem to have extended that giveaway period until New Year of 2020.
Joining in on board is platform adventure game Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair by developer Playtonic Games and publisher Team 17, which came out only months ago and is now available to claim for next 24 hours at Epic Store.

You will be playing as a male chameleon named Yooka who is accompanied by Laylee, a female bat in a classic 2D side-scrolling action. However, instead of rehashing old formula, the studio has taken a modern approach for a sequel.
For completing each of its 20 uniquely different stages, players receive an extra hit point to finish Impossible Lair. This completely eliminates your need to go through all stages to face evil Capital B but you would probably want to do it anyway.

Impossible Lair actually improves upon overall mechanics of the series and its respective genre. Its beautiful design and gameplay concept is quite a blast but having no check-point within the game could be a real bummer sometime.
Right after wrapping up with 12 days of free games program with their latest title, Epic Games Store is seemingly getting back to their previous schedule of giving away weekly games for PC, starting with Darksiders II and Steep.
