Devs Wants Cuphead and Mugman in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Developers of StudioMDHR are hoping to see Cuphead characters to appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Video game director Masahiro Sakurai hit a new high score with his iconic crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which became the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch game of all time by selling over 12 million copies within a month.
Assembling a wide array of fighters into its roster from various different franchises, the game is also bringing more characters for their upcoming DLC releases and most recently, Cuphead developers expressed wishes to see their characters in it as well.

Lately at GDC 2019, game designer and director Jared Moldenhauer expressed his heart's desire to Kirk Scott, manager of publisher and developer relations for Nintendo during a discussion following Nindies Showcase Spring 2019.

Moldenhauer revealed that he would love to see Cuphead and Mugman go up against iconic Ice Climbers duos in SSBU from the legendary retro NES era, because it would be an interesting butting heads in a two versus two that every fan deserves.
If anyone would have suggested something like this a few months prior, the idea would be laughed off immediately but now that indie favorite Cuphead from developer/publisher StudioMDHR is heading over to Switch, it doesn't seem that far-fetched after all.

It is only days past an official announcement for the acclaimed run and gun title that is coming to Nintendo Switch handheld consoles in April 2019, which previously was an exclusive to Microsoft platforms ever since it released back in September 2017.
Since upcoming Fighters Pass of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate by developer Bandai Namco Studios and publisher Nintendo already rumored to feature Steve from Minecraft and Master Chief from Halo franchise, Cuphead brothers would make a fine addition in SSBU for sure.

I've dreamed of Smash Bros. (Cuphead and Mugman) belong in there. So basically if fans want it, I couldn't see how Nintendo wouldn't want the fans to get what they wanted. I think they would because they support their fans a lot. So if Nintendo was keeping their fans happy, then I'd be more than pleased to make that the easiest transition. Just a piece of paper, we don't need anything. You can have those characters make an appearance.
