Catherine on PC Confirmed by ESRB
After teasing
on Steam, a recently revealed ESRB rating confirms that puzzle platformer game Catherine
is coming on PC.
Before Catherine: FullBody was announced for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita as a remaster version
of the 2011 puzzle platformer Catherine by developer/publisher Atlus, the
original title was also available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Recently, an image of a
Sheep with its tongue out was posted on the news section of the Steam page for action-adventure
title Bayonetta by publisher Sega and people took it as a hint of Catherine
coming to PC but it was later confirmed by an ESRB Rating.

Even though there was no
solid confirmation, fans were quick to point out that Catherine is coming to PC
seeing the sheep on the site and taking it as a messenger. What the curious
players want to know now is which version of this puzzle adventure game are
they getting?
The game gets a Mature 17+
rating from ESRB for most obvious reasons like having partial nudity, sexual themes
and strong language within its content but people already knew that. The
updated version, Catherine: Full Body has additional contents that have
everyone interested in it.

To simplify things, we
took a look at the Australian Classification Board rate for the game where it
is titled as "Catherine Classic", which most likely to suggest that this
one is the 2010 release version and it was submitted by Sega as well.
Having to re-release a
game when they are already developing an updated version is pointless but is it
because the company wants to keep Full Body as a Sony consoles exclusive while
re-launch the original on Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox One?
It doesn't sound simply
anymore, does it? If Atlus wanted, they could simply make the game backwards compatible
on Xbox One. Or maybe they are doing this because they wanted to avoid confusion
among fans on which version are they getting by renaming it.
It could also be that Catherine
Classic will add the newly introduced third girl named Rin and new endings for
her but will not include the many newly developed animated cut scenes and content
from Catherine: Full Body. We hope an official announcement clear this out
soon.
