Crash Team Racing Remastered Announced
Coming back in 2019 for its 20th anniversary, PlayStation Classic kart racer Crash Team Racing is getting remastered.
After seeing the immense success of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Sony decided to bring more popular titles from the classic era and give them a remaster treatment. This time they picked popular kart racing game Crash Team Racing from 1999.
Originally developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Entertainment, the remastered version of the game is being reworked by Beenox and Activision following their successful previous endeavor and will release on 2019 as Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.

A popular mascot for Sony back then, Crash Bandicoot has starred in many platformer games till date. Crash and his sister Coco returns to race once again with friends, his archenemy Cortex and several mini-bosses he faced before, totaling to 15 playable characters.
Beenox has literally developed the entire game from the base and this is not just your typical graphical upgrade. We are talking about a total remake that features modes like adventure and time trials carried over in all-new HD glory to refuel your hype.

Aside from enhanced graphics, the title has both offline and online play. The game will even support a four-player split screen system and we are certain that more details will be revealed in the upcoming months before the game releases next summer.
The developers were aiming at delivering that same great racing experience and whatever improvements were added were all inspired from the source. Because of the technical advantage they have today, attention to detail shines on your face.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will come to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 21, 2019. Although the game is coming back big time on modern consoles next June, we are not aware whether there would be a PC release or not at this point.
By the time the game will finally hit the stores, it will be celebrating its 20th anniversary of its original release.
