Batman: Court of Owls Game Teased
WB Games Montréal developers are teasing of a possible "Batman: Court of Owls" game being in development.
Some recent evidence suggests that developer WB Games Montréal is currently working on a new Batman game and it is based on the "Court of Owls" storyline. Court of Owls is a new group of villains that was introduced in The New 52 wave of DC Comics in 2011.
Long before, it was a secret organization working in shadows and had some of the most powerful people of Gotham City in their pocket, most of them as its member. Interesting fact is that, they have old ties of history to the Wayne Family as well.

The court is a secret society that employs a group of undead assassins wearing owl masks called Talons to do their dirty work and is responsible for some of the most violent crimes in the city. They became a recurring enemy for The Dark Knight after targeting Bruce Wayne.
Batman was pitted against one of the Talons who severely beat him and tortured to the point where he begged to be killed but then found a way out. When the antagonism between them reaches its peak, they even launched an attack on Wayne Manor.

Based on the recent Tweets from assistant producer of WB Montreal, the studio is currently working on a new title and everyone on board is very excited. She posted a photo of her wearing a black T-shirt with an owl emblem on its back.

The emblem heavily resembles to the one that was used in the Court of Owls comic books and this could be a potential hint to the next Arkham series of games. Perhaps the game will serve as a prequel to the Arkham series and even start a new trilogy as well.
Even though the series is closely associated with Rocksteady Studios, the third game of the series, Batman: Arkham Origins was developed by WB Montreal. So, it would not be a huge tectonic shift of things if the new title goes to WB.

However, you should not have high hopes for any surprise announcement from the studio this week at The Game Awards 2018 and creative director Patrick Redding has already confirmed about that in one of his recent Tweet.

To fuel the speculation a bit more, comic-book writer and the creator of "Court of Owls", Scott Snyder (Death of the Family, Night of the Owls) has recently Retweeted an IGN article speculating over the possibility of the new game.
Since we are not getting a peak at what they are cooking this week at TGA, fans of the Caped Crusader will have to wait a little longer to see him returning into action. Right now, an official announcement can set all records straight for all parties.

... We’re not doing the glamorous part of the job just yet. We’re headed down to meet with our WB partners and showcase the team’s hard work and share our excitement. I know how anxious the fans are to hear something... Please be patient! (2/2)— Patrick Redding (@Holesinteeth) December 2, 2018
