Blizzard celebrates 20th anniversary of StarCraft
March 31, 2018 will mark for the 20 year anniversary for Blizzard Entertainment's sci-fi real-time strategy game StarCraft. The game originally came out on March 31, 1998 for PC and spawned a successful series of games that ran on Mac as well. Now, this occasion causes for celebration and Blizzard decides to rejoice this anniversary with a bunch of in-game giveaways like skins and rewards for their other fan-favorite titles.

To celebrate this grand achievement of StarCraft, Blizzard has picked up Diablo III, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch, StarCraft II, Starcraft: Remastered and World of Warcraft for players to earn these exciting rewards in-game.

Instead of the end of the month, Blizzard decides to spread the joy of their accomplishment for the entire month of March and some of the reward items are for you to claim just by logging into the game. Following are the free rewards waiting for you to take in-game within the respected titles.

Aside from the in-game cosmetic item giveaways, the developer plans to host anniversary StarCraft stream of Twitch personalities, which will run from March 30 to 31. Also, on March 31, the very date of StarCraft's original release, Blizzard is going to release a video titled StarCraft is Life: A Celebration on YouTube, featuring the biggest fans of the game sharing their experience with the game for the last two decades.

- Diablo III: Dominion’s Revenge is a terrifying Battlecruiser-themed Pet that you can receive by logging into the third installment of the popular action RPG title after March 6.
- Hearthstone: You have to play a StarCraft-inspired Tavern Brawl game to get three Kobolds & Catacombs pack rewards anytime from March 21 to 25.
- Heroes of the Storm: From March 27 to April 7, get the 20th Anniversary Portraits for Protoss, Terran and Zerg species in exchange for a single log in.
- Overwatch: To get the Sarah Kerrigan Ghost Skin for the defense hero Widowmaker, just log in to the team-based shooter game between March 6 and April 3. This skin of Sarah Kerrigan is akin to her Nova skin and themed on the character before the time when she turned into the Queen of Blades.
- StarCraft II: Onwards from March 6, log on to the original sequel of StarCraft and get a special UI Skin for each playable race. Then within March 6 to April 3 logging into the game once again will get you a Portrait and Decal.
- Starcraft: Remastered: A memorial 20th Anniversary UI Skin as a tribute is just waiting for you to claim by simply logging into the game.
- World of Warcraft: This multiplayer online role-playing title grants you the “Salute to StarCraft” Feat of Strength for saluting any one of the StarCraft-themed pets among Baneling, Grunty, Mini Thor, Zeradar or Zergling within March 31 to April 6.
