Control Getting Photo Mode
Long-anticipated Photo Mode feature is heading to Control tomorrow to let you capture its striking aesthetic.
Following its launch back in August 2019, action-adventure game Control from developer Remedy Entertainment and publisher 505 Games has seen overly positive response on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
A post-launch content roadmap was revealed last month that includes two upcoming expansions alongside a brand-new game mode and a much requested Photo Mode, which is arriving soon on October 16, 2019.

In a latest Update 1.04, Photo Mode will be added and can be found within Options menu. Camera can be moved left to right to focus on object or pan up and down using thumb sticks or trigger buttons of a controller in console.
You can begin capturing any fascinating visuals starting from Brutalist hallways of the Oldest House or protagonist Jesse Faden wielding her supernatural gifts against Hiss-corrupted enemies around her to unleash your creativity.

There are two tabs in menu just like any regular camera, which are Camera and Filters tab. You can roll around a subject, adjust depth of field, focus distance, or even broaden and tighten field of view before taking a shot in Camera.
Before applying multiple different filters on a scene, remove Jesse or all other characters from any scene, or even do both using Filters tab. Options to reset a shot and hiding all UI are available for your convenience as well.

Inside of ever-changing surroundings of the Bureau that houses stranger things from other dimensions, aligns perfectly with its uniquely creepy aesthetic and strong colors, a Photo Mode is a feature that was long overdue.
A new game mode Expeditions is planned for Control to release on December 2019 to challenge players in a set time to get precious rewards. However, different modifiers will make things tricky for Jesse each time she ventures into it.
