Persona 5: The Royal Release Date
With new content and a Phantom Thief, Persona 5: The Royal will arrive for PS4 in Japan later this year.
Following an announcement of role-playing game Persona 5 character Joker coming to crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at The Game Awards 2018, there was a rumor for the title to come on Nintendo Switch.
Then P5R.jp domain was registered by developer/publisher Atlus and that rumored Switch theory was debunked upon revealing of Persona 5: The Royal for PlayStation 4. An extended trailer is dropped lately to announce official release date for the title

Right after Persona Super Live 2019 concert special, the trailer came out revealing new contents for this updated version of Persona 5, which is all set to release in October 31, 2019 for Japan and worldwide later sometime in 2020.
Newest Phantom Thief named Kasumi Yoshizawa joins the party who is a rhythmic gymnast and a transfer student for Shujin Academy. She appears dancing in one cutscene and then briefly shows up in a critical hit animation.

Another major character Takuto Maruki joins as a counselor and new Confidant. There is a new location, Kichijoji to explore aside from an aquarium dating site. Players can also hang out together at Penguin Sniper game bar playing pool and darts to pass time.
Persona 5: The Royal would likely to play with original storyline of P5 that largely focuses on Joker and Goro Akechi. New events, in-game selfie feature, a human version of Morgana, social activities and other aspects are to be included in this PS4-exclusive as well.
