One thing fans of Telltale Games would agree without a doubt is that the developer has re-invented if not mastered the point-and-click adventure games of modern times and with each new releases, they prove it time after time. The studio did a great job tinkering with the established folklore of DC Comics' most iconic hero Batman in Batman: The Telltale Series in 2016 and the sequel Batman: The Enemy Within in 2017.

Batman: The Enemy Within is the second season of Telltale's attempt of re-creating the legends of The Dark Knight for gamers. The first season and the already released episodes of season two is doing exceptionally well so far. We all are now waiting for the season finale and it is going to be released on March 27, drawing conclusion to another thrilling chapter of Bruce Wayne/ Batman trying to save Gotham City from the rampant criminal society.

The developers and studio is very excited about the final episode as it just doesn't give it a closure but also because this one is the greatest piece of content they have created for the series till date. Telltale's stories are different than any of the stories from DC Universe as they take a unique dig at the saga and the latest twist they added to the list is to create their own version of The Joker.

The Pact Associates

When he was first discovered by Bruce Wayne in Arkham Asylum as a former patient named John Doe. He didn't become the Clown Prince of Crime back then but his past was anything but clouded. However, he had a deep admiration for Bruce Wayne and just wanted to be his best friend more than anything. He even introduced Bruce to The Pact, a small gang of super-criminals consisting Bane, Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze.

Just because John Doe was way far from becoming The Joker at that point, many actually started rooting for him. It was a very bold move from Telltale to even pitch the idea of this pale skinned and green haired individual having any sort of friendly relationship with Bruce Wayne because of many Batman fans would start ranting about it immediately but all things worked out fine in the end. Instead of beating him up and taking him back to Arkham, players tried to guide him through Bruce's character.

Since one of the nature of episodic graphic adventure games are the ending and many other aspects of a game changes depending on your actions, your approach towards John Doe in The Enemy Within will shape up his character in the endgame. Whether or not you want him to be Harley's boyfriend or bring down his criminal endeavors, it's all up to you. The way you treat him will shape The Joker of tomorrow.

Vigilante or Villain?

The finale episode will reach to a certain point with every loose ends and John Doe will either transform into a Vigilante or Villain. If he turns out evil, then you already know that he is destined to become Batman’s arch-nemesis. The end of their friendship will set him nuts and he will wreck havoc on Gotham. Although, The Joker becoming a vigilante would like to team-up with Batman to eradicate all crime from the city.
