Launched through Early Access last year, 2022 free-to-play crossover fighting game MultiVersus by developer Player First Games and publisher Warner Bros. Games plans for a full release later this month across PC and consoles platforms.
A dataminer has discovered voice lines for The Joker by actor Mark Hamill (Star Wars, Return of the Jedi) last year, hinting at his impending debut and today, dev team has finally confirmed his arrival on MultiVersus before its return soon.
Player First Games shared a new video offering a first-look at The Joker coming to MultiVersus very soon.
Latest reveal trailer for MultiVersus opens up with Batman slowly walking to the entrance of his underground Batcave as an explosion goes off and a knocked out Bugs Bunny came flying on his feet while a green smoke starts to spread up.
On his way out, he passed by a defeated Shaggy badly trying to reach out for a Super Sandwich, to possibly heal himself. He also sees Arya Stark struggling to get back up and comes to face off the intruder lurking behind a cloud of smoke.
When he reaches near the fog, Batman hears an all too familiar voice of The Joker in a maniacal laughter to taunt him. Emerging from the smoke, he says, "Wait till they get a load of me!" with a dazzling smile before jumping towards you.
Mark Hamill will team up with Kevin Conroy's Batman once again to portray his iconic DC villain role. Multiversus could be the final game featuring both Conroy and Hamill playing Batman and Joker, following Conroy's death back in 2022.

The Joker being introduced as new playable fighter will open up the door to a lot of interactions with known WB characters. Aside from taunting Batman, his bantering against others would be a welcoming surprise adding chaos into fight.
MultiVersus successfully hosted an Open Beta and becomes the best-selling game of July 2022, ahead of Elden Ring. It saw a massive surge of players on Steam at launch and was downloaded over 20 million times, claimed by WB studios.
