Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update Release Date |
Over a year ago, developer/publisher Bethesda Softworks promised to release a free update for 2015 action role-playing game Fallout 4 across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S to deliver a couple of improvements for next-generation.
Later last year, Bethesda apologized to fans for delaying next-gen version of Fallout 4 since they need more time. With recent premiere of live-action Fallout TV series, dev team finally confirms rolling out the free update on April 25, 2024.
Players across PS5 and Series X/S will receive Performance and Quality mode to play Fallout 4 at 60 FPS and increased resolutions. Players on all platforms, including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will get bug fixes and stability improvements.
PC players are also getting a patch for widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, with new fixes for Creation Kit and other quest updates. Login issues at Bethesda.net for Chinese and Japanese players on PC gets fixed with access to mods.
Newly added Echoes of the Past quest introduces pre-war cabal The Enclave into Fallout 4 story and brings more content. Players can now grab armor skins, Colonel uniform, heavy incinerator, Tesla cannon with couple of workshop items.
Makeshift Weapon pack includes a number of random unconventional objects transformed into deadly weapon like nail gun and piggy bank. These are great tools to welcome any intruder that comes to you uninvited and acts very hostile.
Halloween-Themed Decorations |
There are tons of leftover Halloween-themed decorations from a doomed party and players can use them to fashion their settlements. Adorn your outposts with cauldrons, ghouls, witches and much more in Halloween or through all year.
Fallout 4 also becomes available for PC via Epic Games Store by that time and will be verified on Steam Deck as well. Bethesda Studios may have plans for Fallout 5 but they won't start working on it soon before The Elder Scrolls VI release.
