Given how all mainline series entries of widely-popular role-playing game franchise Persona has launched as PlayStation-exclusives, there is heavy speculation on whether a sequel to Persona 5 will continue that trend when it arrives soon.
Until recent years, Atlus' fan-favorite JRPG series only launched on Microsoft's console platform on rare occasions. However, a well-known leaker claimed that Persona 6 will be coming to Xbox consoles and could also arrive on Game Pass.
During latest episode of DirectXbox podcast, reliable industry insider Nate the Hate reveals that Persona 6 will seemingly be coming to Xbox platforms but not really sure whether it will be day-and-date release with its PlayStation version.
Considering how Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica both released across multiplatform on day-one, Persona 6 could do the same. Seeing a refreshed interest of Atlus in Xbox consoles, P6 safe to assume that latest leaks are accurate.

Even when launching multi-platform, Atlus may end up choosing to skip some of their games on select consoles. For example, Shin Megami Tensei III never released for Xbox and Soul Hackers 2 didn't arrive on Nintendo Switch console yet.
Nate the Hate couldn't promise whether Persona 6 will come to Microsoft's subscription service but thinks it would take a lot to do. A pervious leak suggested a 2025 launch for P6, which could even slip into 2026 because of internal delay.
Atlus have mentioned Persona 6 in a 2021 job posting, which is possibly under development for at least three years and there is a company-wide expectation for upcoming series installment to exceed its previous franchise entry at launch.
Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4: Golden and Persona 5: Royal were ported to Xbox platforms and Game Pass in recent years. Before that, it only released on Xbox in 2012 as Persona 4 Arena and afterwards Persona 4 Arena Ultimax in 2014.
