First Nintendo Direct of 2024 May Be Coming Soon

Starting from January, multiple insiders were claiming that a possible Nintendo Direct broadcast is possibly coming this February. Nintendo usually don't corroborate with such rumor and might end up announcing it a day before going live.

For past few consecutive years, Nintendo hosted their digital showcase in February and fans are hopeful that 2024 will not be an exception. Often scheduled for mid-February, Japanese gaming mogul didn't confirm an official date thus far.

Latest reports hints at highly rumored Nintendo Direct livestream being announced very soon in mid-February. A long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 console reveal could take place during the first Direct of 2024, according to industry insiders.

If rumors are true, then Nintendo will stream their upcoming Direct episode on February 15 and share latest updates. It will probably be announced on for a regular event showcasing variety of first-party games that are releasing this year.

Pokémon games could either be shown off as part of the Direct or get its own dedicated stream at a later date. Since titular franchise moving further to Generation 9, its major reveals could be pushed until this annual Pokémon Day event.

In case of a third-party focused presentation, Nintendo could shadow-drop latest Partner Direct stream on Thursday, February 15. However, there may not be any big advertisement across any social media handle before it finally goes live.

Early rumors of Tango Gameworks' Hi-Fi Rush and Rare Studio's Sea of Thieves coming to Xbox's rival platforms may get announced through a potential Partner Direct showcase but nothing has been hinted by either Microsoft or Nintendo.

Nintendo could focus on upcoming releases and new titles for future, except for mainline Mario and Zelda games. A potential first-look at rumored Nintendo Switch 2 could easily become main focus of their upcoming episode in February.
