Dead Island 2 Coming to Steam, Dead Island: Riptide Free Now
As exclusivity window ends soon, Dead Island 2 is coming to Steam for player on PC and Dead Island: Riptide is free until February 15.

Releasing exclusively on Epic Games Store for PC platform and cross-generation consoles, 2023 action role-playing game Dead Island 2 by Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver was a huge hit at launch after getting delayed too many times.
Almost a year after its release, Dead Island 2 is finally heading to Steam for PC later next month on April 22, 2024. Also, buy Dead Island: Definitive Edition on deep discount and grab a copy of Dead Island: Riptide just before February 15.
In celebration of its Steam release, Definitive Edition of original Dead Island game goes on sales at 85% of its retail price. Fans can also purchase 16-bit side-scrolling spin-off game Dead Island: Retro Revenge for 75% off until February 20.
Announced back in 2014, a follow-up sequel to Dead Island was stuck in development hell for a while and was pushed back several times. After changing a few developers, Deep Silver internal studio Dambuster handled full development.
Back in November 2023, its first DLC story expansion Haus was released, adding a new location, skill cards and weapons. A second story expansion titled SOLA Festival is currently scheduled to release later sometime throughout this year.
Dead Island 2 ended up selling 1 million copies in just three days of its debut and 2 million after a month of its release worldwide. In terms of total copies shipped and overall revenue number, DI2 becomes biggest launch for its publisher.
