Released to universal critical-acclaim, 2022 action role-playing game Elden Ring from developer From Software and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment won over many accolades including Game of the Year at The Game Awards event.
A post-launch DLC for Elden Ring was hinted last year at company earnings report before it was leaked by Bandai Namco server hack. Today, From Software has confirmed working on Shadow of The Erdtree DLC for latest Soulsborne title.
Along with a surprise announcement, From Software also shared a brand-new concept artwork that hints at a pre-Elden Ring setting. Obviously, it doesn't give away too much context but may send you back to Lands Between and beyond.
Previously revealed as "Barbarians of the Badlands" via Bandai Namco leak, dev team probably wanted to explore Badlands, former stomping ground for warrior Horah Loux AKA Godfrey but they may have decided to expand even more.

Soulsborne games like Bloodborne and all three Dark Souls releases received great post-launch support. Earlier in December 2022, From Software has rolled out free Colosseum update for all players to have PvP duels and fight as a team.
Elden Ring: Shadow of The Erdtree DLC expansion was given not scheduled launch window just yet but more will be revealed soon. According to early leaks, upcoming DLC will possibly launch along with Tekken 8, through 2023 fiscal year.
