Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Delayed for Six Weeks

Early last year, developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts has announced working on three Star Wars titles, including a sequel to 2019 action-adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order before revealing it later.

EA and Respawn showcased a gameplay trailer for Fallen Order sequel, while confirming a 2023 launch date at The Game Awards 2022. Only few months ahead of release, EA delays the arrival of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to later in April.

In a latest social media post, Respawn stated that they had to postpone Jedi: Survivor to have a level of polish series fans deserve. Originally slated for launch on March 17, Fallen Order sequel is currently set to launch at April 28, 2023.

Entire dev team at Respawn has been working on Jedi: Survivor for past three years to flesh out next chapter of Cal Kestis' journey. At this point, they are content complete and are focusing on bug fixes, player experiences and stability.

Respawn Entertainment shared an update about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor being delayed to April on Twitter.

Jedi: Survivor was a direct response to community-feedback to deliver an expansive experience into Star Wars universe, with variety of destinations to explore, improved combat and traversal mechanic to carry on Cal and BD-1's story.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor needs to hit Respawn quality bar at launch due to high fan-expectation from them and Lucasfilm Games. Dev team thanked EA for adding another six weeks to release schedule, now releasing on April 28, 2023.
