Returnal PC Features and Release Date Revealed |
Over a year after release, PlayStation 5-exclusive third-person roguelike shooter Returnal from developer Housemarque and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment was found listed across Steam database and a PC port was rumored.
PC version of Returnal was eventually announced during The Game Awards 2022 early last year with an early 2023 launch window. Sony finally reveals a release date set for February 15, 2023, alongside features and specifications for PC.
A brand-new trailer highlighting PC-specific features and specs of Returnal has been released by Sony as well.
Housemarque has added AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS to let PC players increase their frame rates without losing resolution. Those who want a boost in performance can rely on NVIDIA NIS on a hardware that does not support DLSS or FSR.
Players were already expecting ray-traced shadows for PC port and Climax Studios added extra support for RT reflections. With a compatible PC and display device, this will let you see a lot of neon bullets pop up in shadows than before.
