Much like its 2013 predecessor, 2020 action-adventure game The Last of Us Part II by developer Naughty Dog and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment had plans to introduce a multiplayer mode during post-release but it was delayed.
Following many leaks and rumors regarding its development, Naughty Dog announced untitled, The Last of Us standalone multiplayer game at Summer Game Fest 2022 event and has recently promised to reveal even more later this year.
Starting off a new year, Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann shared a new concept art of The Last of Us multiplayer game ahead of upcoming 10th anniversary while teasing at some fun surprises regarding franchise future this June.
Latest artwork shows two survivors heading over to a gigantic cruise ship, ran ashore to nearby coastal city long ago. Such setting often offers resources for scavenging in PvP-style multiplayer with dangers of being ambushed by enemies.

Although a new experience from Naughty Dog, it will still feature brand-new cast of characters, gameplay and a unique storyline. Neil Druckmann may end up announcing The Last of Us Part III during 10th anniversary celebration this year.
TV adaptation for The Last of Us is premiering soon on HBO and HBO Max in coming weeks and it clearly has some exciting moment for fans. They will share some behind-the-scenes looks and exclusive interview once Season 1 finally airs.
PC version of The Last of Us Part I is scheduled to arrive on March 3, with information regarding features and specs will be revealed soon. Moreover, players will receive its DLC expansion at no additional cost along with its story campaign.
The Last of Us franchise has sold over 37 million copies worldwide as of December 2022, setting a major sales milestone for studio. Druckmann has thanked all series fans for continued support to help them go forward and reach new goal.
