Xbox Live Gold Free Games for January 2023 Revealed

Almost close to a new year, Microsoft announces a brand-new slate of Games With Gold for all active subscribers of Xbox Live Gold monthly service to play on Xbox family of cross-generation consoles when they finally arrive next month.

Follow an enigmatic black cat to a labyrinth world in 2018 puzzle-adventure game Iris Fall from developer/publisher NExT Studios as you enter a dreamlike gothic realm that plays with theme of light and dark as a gameplay core concept.

Iris Fall adopts a monochrome look with puzzles to reveal how everything is connected to lead character somehow. Starting from January 1, the game becomes available in Games With Gold lineup for all members until January 31, 2023.

Next up, 2019 resource management simulation game Autonauts sends you to an uninhabited planet, so you can transform it entirely. Start building a new world on January 16 and continue once you claim it before it's gone in February.

Games With Gold has given out over 40 games throughout 2022 but not many of them were of great value to Gold subscribers. Largely overshadowed by Xbox Game Pass, it offered too little other than access to multiplayer on consoles.

Xbox Live Gold monthly free games are also accessible for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to enjoy on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Existing and new subscribers can join or upgrade for $1 only and get access over 100 great games.
