Delayed weeks prior to DC Entertainment announcing an overhaul in gaming, upcoming action-adventure game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League by developer Rocksteady Studios is set to release for PC and next-gen consoles in 2023.
To no one's surprise, Rocksteady Studios decided to release a new trailer for their Suicide Squad game that offers a tribute to late voice actor Kevin Conroy and even confirms a release date set for May 26, 2023, at The Game Awards 2022.
A cinematic trailer for Kill The Justice League has premiered showing first-look at Batman during TGA 2022.
Fighting against corrupted members of Justice League in Metropolis, former Belle Reve inmates Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and King Shark were barely able to take down The Flash before taking cover in a secret location.
As they were talking about securing its back entrance, Harley got spooked by a huge cardboard cutout of Batman in the dark. Boomerang wanted to get back at his arch-nemesis when no one is watching but was interrupted by Deadshot.
They all take a moment to see if there is anyone else around only to see a scared cop coming to them running but before he could even reach near Task Force X, a shadowy figure snatches him into a much darker corner, preying upon him.
Harley deduces this ominous intruder to be The Dark Knight and make jokes about how he uses shadows to scare off his adversaries. She assures King Shark that he doesn't kill people but then a seemingly lifeless body falls from up above.
Out of shadows, Batman finally appears before them, visibly brainwashed and under control by Brainiac. In his debut encounter, The Dark Knight adapts to a reddish theme that is very similar to new The Batman (2022) live-action movie.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will bring back long-time Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy for one last time in his iconic role. KTJL trailer closes with "Thank You Kevin" title card, honoring his long legacy, who passed away last month.
