In past few months, several insider reports claimed that upcoming action-adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor from developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts plans to reveal a new trailer and set release date soon.
Earlier today, details regarding Jedi: Survivor pre-order bonuses and special edition was leaked on PC gaming platform Steam. Respawn eventually announced a gameplay reveal coming soon and a launch date scheduled for March 15, 2023.
EA has confirmed plans to show new Jedi: Survivor gameplay footage during The Game Awards 2022 event on December 8, 2022. A brand-new artwork featuring protagonist Cal Kestis and his companion droid BD-1 was shared online as well.
According to leaked Steam listing of Jedi: Survivor, Cal Kestis has grown into a Jedi Knight as he takes a stand in darkest times of the galaxy. Players will also have additional Force powers and new lightsaber fighting styles to wield in combat.

Ahead of today's announcement, Giant Bomb reporter Jeff Grubb has claimed earlier that Jedi: Survivor will be launching on March 2023. In contrast to its predecessor, Survivor will be much darker in tone, says game director Stig Asmussen.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes place five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order, same time around Obi-Wan Kenobi mini-series. In an early interview, series actor Ewan McGregor (Angels and Demons, Fargo) has teased at possible tie-in.
