In a follow-up to a series of leaks and rumors, upcoming action-adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor by developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts was announced at Star Wars Celebration event via a teaser trailer.
Shortly after its release date was leaked on Steam earlier this week, Respawn officially confirms it on social media. As promised, a brand-new gameplay footage for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was revealed today during The Game Awards 2022.

Five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, former padawan Cal Kestis grew up a lot and is wearing a beard. Other than a few brief snippets, no actual gameplay and story details were shared by EA or Respawn in recent trailer.
Cal teams-up with new and returning allies like mercenary Bode Akuna and mentor Cere Junda, along with his trusty companion droid BD-1. Carrying legacy of Jedi Order with him, Cal fights to save his beloved ones and face new challenges.
As mentioned in Steam listing, Jedi: Survivor trailer shows-off new Force powers and lightsaber fighting styles against enemies. Other than his combat prowess, Cal can use grappling hook and mounts to traverse across many new locations.
Newly added cross-guard combat stance will help him take a better stand against hostile forces. Using dual lightsaber fighting technique, Cal can eventually take down regular Stormtroopers or even Imperial Sentry Droid enemies in face-off.
Jedi: Survivor is set around similar timeline as Obi-Wan Kenobi mini-series and may have a tie-in with hit Disney+ show. Thanks to Lucasfilm Games collaboration, players can pre-order to claim exclusive "Jedi Survival" themed pack as bonus.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is already available for pre-order across all platforms and offers several bonus cosmetic items. Previously confirmed launch date of March 15 has been moved to March 17, 2023 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
