Bringing that same great console experience to another platform, Sony announces to launch PC version of The Last of Us Part I with some additional features next year and has even confirmed a scheduled release date set for March 3, 2023.
A reveal trailer for PC release of The Last of Us Part I was also rolled out at The Game Awards 2022 event.
Naughty Dog was waiting for some time to introduce players to the unforgettable adventure of Joel and Ellie on PC. TLoU Remake will be enhanced and newly optimized for PC players when it arrives next year, ending exclusivity to console.
Talking about upcoming PC port, TLoU game director Matthew Gallant says how they learned a lot during development of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection earlier and dev team wants to open up their title for PC in many new ways.
As part of Sony's recent focus on PC gaming community, more of their first-party exclusives are coming to Epic Games Store and Steam. Only this year alone, ports for God of War, Spider-Man and few more were released by PlayStation PC.
The Last of Us, Part I is already available for pre-order, offering in-game items like supplements and weapon parts as bonus. Standard purchase includes single-player base game story and DLC prequel chapter at a retail price of $59.99 only.
