Elden Ring Wins Game of The Year at The Game Awards 2022
The Game Awards 2022 has crowned From Software's epic RPG title Elden Ring as winner of "Game of the Year".

Although there wasn't many worthy candidate for "Game of the Year" when 2022 kicked off but it soon found a few nominees to compete for the biggest honor within gaming industry that will decide which one truly deserves such credit.
Fighting against contender like God of War: Ragnarök, 2022 action role-playing game Elden Ring from developer From Software and publisher Bandai Namco has won "Game of the Year" at The Game Awards 2022 annual ceremony event.
Elden Ring also picked up Best Art and Game Direction accolades on their way home this year as Ragnarök was able to sweep most of their nominations, including Best Action/Adventure Game, Innovation in Accessibility, Score and others.
Square Enix's widely popular MMORPG title, Final Fantasy XIV wins over Best Ongoing Game for a consecutive second year. Surprise indie-hit Stray gets awarded as Best Independent Game but Horizon Forbidden West didn't get anything.
Newly debuted free-to-play crossover brawler MultiVersus from Player First Games is picked on Best Fighting Game category. Nintendo got awards for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and three more.
The Game Awards 2022 host Geoff Keighley also invited Bella Ramsey, Pedro Pascal and Reggie Fils-Aimé as celebrity guests. Lots of new games including Crash Team Rumble, Death Stranding 2, Hades II and Judas made announcements.
