Elden Ring: Colosseum Free Update Announced |
Players who already beat single-player story of 2022 action role-playing game Elden Ring from developer From Software and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment have been waiting for a DLC announcement after it was leaked earlier.
Within a month after release, modders discovered several hidden arena in-game that hinted at a possible multiplayer DLC or mode. From Software finally announced a free update today that introduces a gladiator-style battle Colosseum.
Bandai Namco releases a band-new trailer highlighting PvP modes in free Colosseum update for Elden Ring.
Colosseum update will become available for free to all players across PC, PlayStation and Xbox on December 7, 2022. It invites Tarnished champions to engage in deadly duels at Colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell and Caelid once it's here.
Players can spot several Colosseums that are dotted through Elden Ring map and even explore them when it releases tomorrow. Take part in 1v1 duels, as small groups against each other or try out free-for-alls fights to prove your worth.
Although newly revealed Colosseum update would greatly expand PvP system of Elden Ring, a DLC maybe still on its way. From Software has probably planned for full DLC announcement at The Game Awards digital event later this week.
Elden Ring already allows people to fight each other using PvP invasion system or seek help via summoning during a playthrough. Colosseum update will surely bring a new direction to these gameplay elements as you wait for a new DLC.
