Debuted during a controversial era of Star Wars games, 2019 action-adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts paved a successful path for a sequel and more spin-offs.
Other than having a darker tone than previous game, nothing much is revealed about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order just yet. However, a recent insider report claims Jedi: Survivor will offer a new trailer and lots more at The Game Awards 2022.
According to a new report by industry insider Tom Henderson, a brand-new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will premiere at TGA 2022. EA and Respawn are also very likely to share pre-order detail and a release date set for early next year.
Henderson also claims that SW Jedi: Survivor trailer will be shown around 30 minutes after TGA 2022 event goes live. Taking place five years after previous events, sequel to Fallen Order didn't share much other than its title and plot premise.
VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb previously stated that Jedi: Fallen Order sequel will release in March 2023 ahead of an official reveal. His claims actually match up with EA's upcoming release calendar, hinting at a major IP launch within Q4.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor being showcased at The Game Awards 2022 makes sense if EA wants to release it on first half of 2023. Hopefully, Respawn dev team will share gameplay and story or a glimpse of two other ongoing Star Wars games.
