At a recent earnings call, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer reveals that company executives were looking forward to expand John Wick franchise with a big-scale video game project and claims that they have been fielding proposals already.
Feltheimer states that, a massive AAA game to be made out of John Wick and Lionsgate execs are clearly interested in moving forward. Not wanting to get ahead further, he then decides to not say anything more about it at the moment.
Other than John Wick: Chapter 4, a spin-off movie Ballerina starring Ana de Armas (Knives Out, No Time to Die) will begin production soon. Moreover, a prequel series The Continental will be premiering exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
British developer studio Bithell Games launched a John Wick video game titled John Wick Hex back in 2019. Serving as a series prequel, it adopts a strategy-focused gameplay style that has failed to generate any decent buzz among fans.
John Wick director Chad Stahelski has been announced to helm live-action Ghost of Tsushima movie for Sony Pictures. Also, franchise creator Derek Kolstad was hired by Constantin Film to write and produce upcoming Just Cause movie.
