Let me make this super clear:
— Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) November 7, 2022
- The next game, by Treyarch, is coming out in 2024
- Next year there will be a Modern Warfare II "premium" (paid) expansion by Sledgehammer
- It's supposed to have lots of content! Maybe that's why they call it a "full" release. But it's more MWII https://t.co/jXKAiMFcTf
Schreier further claimed that Activision will be launching a "greatest hits" pack featuring several multiplayer maps from classic Call of Duty games to celebrate 20th anniversary of CoD franchise while they work on new game from Treyarch.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has reached $1 billion sales milestone in 10 days, which took 15 days for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 to make. Meanwhile, a long-rumored standalone Call of Duty: Zombies spin-off game is reportedly in works.
