Previously, several rumors claimed that Crash Bandicoot 4 dev team is working on a multiplayer Crash game, corroborated by Corden. It was set to reveal at Xbox & Bethesda Showcase stream but was never shown for some unknown reasons.
A rumored Crash Bandicoot multiplayer game was reportedly titled "Wumpa League", which is more like a four-player brawler. Although it perfectly aligns with an early leak, series fans were advised to take these reports with a grain of salt.
Nearing end of last year, Toys for Bob posted a job listing on their official website for a non-Call of Duty project. According to Windows Central journalist Jez Corden, new Crash Bandicoot title was in development at Crash 4 and trilogy studio.
Crash Bandicoot: Wumpa League was originally teased by Toys for Bob in August as they shared an image of 17 games they developed and suggested a mystery 18th title is currently on its way to be announced very soon at a major showcase.
