Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose DLC Gameplay Revealed |
Earlier in June, Japanese video game developer/publisher Capcom announced a Gold Edition for 2021 survival horror game Resident Evil: Village, which includes Mercenaries mode, Shadows of Rose story DLC and a third-person perspective.
It was later noted by official Biohazard account that Shadows of Rose DLC will be harder than its base game. Capcom recently reveals a release date for Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition, which is coming to all platforms on October 28, 2022.
Capcom shares a close-look at Winters' Expansion gameplay for Resident Evil Village at Tokyo Game Show.
During a livestream at Tokyo Game Show 2022, new gameplay footage highlights adventures of Rosemary Winters, daughter of RE: Village protagonist Ethan Winters 16 years following events of original game, also available in third-person.
Looking for answers regarding her powers, Rose enters the consciousness of Megamycete only to find herself surrounded with trouble. Other than a handgun, ammo and first-aid, she will rely on her powers to survive against dreadful foes.
Using her extraordinary abilities, Rose can freeze enemies for a while or demolish any obstacles on her way. Focusing her powers on enemy weakness can help you conserve ammo and it could be a new playstyle for true survival experience.
TGS 2022 trailer lets you take a brief glance at a new enemy known as Face Eater, lurking within the realms of Megamycete. Able to steal life force of other living beings, Rose can take a serious damage if she's not very cautious around them.
Ethan in Third-Person Mode |
Moving on to long-requested third-person mode, people will be able to explore titular village in over-the-shoulder camera view. Series fans and newcomers will surely enjoy playing this mode, seeing Ethan's animations from new viewpoint.
Resident Evil Village: Winters' Expansion comes bundled with Gold Edition and will be available for purchase separately. Capcom also plans macOS version for late 2022 launch and PlayStation VR2 support for PlayStation 5 version in future.
