Inspired by super-hero stories from house of ideas, developer Firaxis Games and publisher 2K Games announced upcoming tactical role-playing game Marvel's Midnight Suns at Gamescom 2021 event to release across all major platforms.
Originally scheduled for a March 2022 release, it faced several delays before Firaxis confirms a late 2022 date. A recent trailer reveals Marvel's Midnight Suns will launch for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S system on December 2, 2022.
2K and Firaxis Games reveals a new release date for Marvel's Midnight Suns at D23 Expo 2022 fan-event.
After issuing an October window, 2K Games stated last month that Midnight Suns will arrive in current fiscal year ending in March 2023. Dev team decided to move back launch date in order to deliver the best possible experience for all fans.
Moreover, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions have currently been delayed to a later date. Switch release of Midnight Suns never had a definitive launch date even during Summer Game Fest Showcase 2022 digital event.
Following a huge success of Civilization and XCOM series of turn-based strategy games, Firaxis was interested to work on a Marvel game. A rumor for such project emerged ahead of E3 2021 and was revealed by 2K Games only months later.
Marvel's Midnight Suns have already showcased gameplay overview and hero history footage of its heroes as well as protagonist, The Hunter. Pre-order is already available now and unlocks a Defenders skin for Doctor Strange during launch.
