Amy Hennig's Captain America/Black Panther Marvel Game Revealed |
A brand-new, narrative-focused "pulp" action-adventure game was announced earlier by new studio under Skydance Media, which is a long-awaited original premise by Uncharted director Amy Hennig, in a latest partnership with Marvel.
According to rumors, Skydance was working on a Fantastic Four adventure but it was revealed to be a Marvel game featuring Captain America and Black Panther teaming up against group of Hydra baddies during eras of Second World War.
Skydance New Media has officially revealed first teaser trailer for newest Marvel adventure by Amy Hennig.
On a 40's background, latest trailer for upcoming Marvel game by Skydance Media shows off a glimpse of Eiffel Tower amidst a war-torn France. Then it quickly switches back to a new indoor setting that is probably set within that same city.
As camera moves over to a German Luger and some Hydra dossiers on the table, audience can see Cap's scratched up shield with claw marks. Cap and Panther are both seen taking stances in a corridor, clearly prepping for an ensuing battle.
In a closing shot, an American soldier and a Dora Milaje fighter is seen standing next to Captain America and Black Panther. That soldier could either be a customizable character for players or a combatant of Nick Fury's Howling Commandos.
Hennig's newest Marvel game is seemingly inspired by Black Panther/Captain America: Flags of Our Fathers storyline from 2010. Captain America meets Black Panther, King Azzuri in Wakanda during World War II and fights off Nazi troopers.
Unfortunately, neither Marvel nor Skydance Media revealed an official title for their new game while a lot of questions remained unanswered. Given how much hyped fans were about today's D23 Expo, there was not anything much notable.
Disney & Marvel Games Showcase started this year with their focus on variety of mobile games as they neglect other fan-favorite projects. Despite immense fan-hype, people were apparently disappointed by lackluster D23 Expo 2022 event.
