For over a year now, there have been a number of rumors regarding fan-favorite survival horror franchise Silent Hill to be revived by Japanese video game publisher Konami for a new audience but no official confirmation has been given yet.
Konami recently reveals their lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2022 and scheduled for a 45-minute show to announce a new release on September 16, 2022, which is a new game from a beloved series and an insider hints at a Silent Hill reveal.
Industry insider Andy Robinson mentions hearing about Konami planning to reveal a new Silent Hill project soon from multiple sources lately. GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb corroborates to these reports and hints at a September window.
Grubb simply posted a GIF of Earth, Wind and Fire music video "September" in reply to support latest Silent Hill news. However, neither of them clarified whether it will be a new entry or long- rumored Silent Hill 2 remake currently in works.

Among several Silent Hill projects, Konami has reportedly greenlit a Silent Hill 2 Remake and an episodic series in recent years. According to report, Polish studio Bloober Team is busy working on upcoming remake featuring multiple endings.
A new Silent Hill (2020) game or Silent Hill 2 Remake could very well be revealed at TGS 2022 or a possible PlayStation Showcase 2022 event. Robinson stated that it would be a smaller project in contrast to other announcements by Konami.
