MultiVersus Season 1 Release Date

After getting delayed indefinitely earlier this month, upcoming free-to-play crossover platform fighter MultiVersus by developer Player First Games and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive has extended its ongoing Open Beta for few weeks.

Amidst ongoing EVO 2022 championship event, dev team revealed partial content roadmap for all players. Meanwhile, Player First Games recently made a surprise announcement regarding a scheduled launch date of MultiVersus Season 1.

Player First Games officially confirm an official launch date for MultiVersus Season 1 launch set for August 15, 2022. It will introduce a brand-new Battle Pass feasting tier of contents including Arcade mode, PvP ranked battle and cosmetics.

Season 1 will also be adding long-anticipated Morty Smith from Rick and Morty animated show as a new character on August 23, 2022. MultiVersus accidentally teased Rick Sanchez earlier via in-game lobby ahead of an official reveal for S1.

Quick Note: Everything we are bringing to you in Season 1 will not drop on the same day. New modes and content will be spread through the life of the Season. We'll continue to share dates on all the fun things to come!

Dev team also clarified that all Season 1 content will not arrive at launch as new characters and modes will be rolled out eventually. An early leak suggests Marvin the Martian, Nubia as well as Raven could join through Season 1 at one point.

MultiVersus Season 1 Battle Pass reportedly features 50 tiers and it costs around 950 Gleamium for $9.99 only. Ongoing pre-season Battle Pass has 15 tiers of character skins, cosmetics, profile icons, XP coin and bunch of other reward items.
