Like many other sports franchises, WWE 2K games by developer Visual Concepts and publisher 2K Sports continues to exploit fans each passing years with annual releases, featuring no major improvements other than a change of roster.
After receiving heavy fan-criticism for a buggy launch of WWE 2K20, a squeal was cancelled to focus on WWE 2K22. Without any warning, 2K Sports has quietly delisted a few of their WWE games from digital storefronts, shocking fans.
According to Reddit user Popstasia, all other WWE 2K games were removed from Steam except for WWE 2K22 and WWE 2K Battlegrounds. Apparently, 2K Sports has delisted their older titles from sale, so fans can only buy the new ones.
A recent changelog on Steam Tracker website shows that WWE 2K17, 2K18, 2K19 and 2K20 are now unavailable for purchase since July 13. Moreover, these games are no longer available on PlayStation or Xbox digital distribution stores.
Although, older WWE 2K games have their status changed to "purchase disabled" recently, you can still re-download these titles and their DLCs if they were already purchased before but you won't be able to buy their digital copies again.
WWE 2K series fans can still get their hands on WWE 2K17, 2K18, 2K19 and 2K20 by purchasing physical disc copies on PlayStation and Xbox. 2K Sports announced plans to close online servers for WWE 2K19 and 2K20 in May 2022 though.
