After having a State of Play stream in March, Sony Interactive Entertainment followed up with another surprise showcase for upcoming action role-playing game Hogwarts Legacy, revealing gameplay and story details before release.
Sony promised to share new updates on upcoming third-party games for PlayStation 4 and 5 in their latest State of Play livestream broadcast, which is scheduled to go live on June 2, 2:00 PM PDT/5:00 PM EDT at Twitch and YouTube.
Sony showcases a 30-minute long State of Play stream, highlighting new announcements and a few updates.
Resident Evil 4 Remake | Release Date
After many speculations, developer/publisher Capcom finally reveals remake of Resident Evil 4 today at State of Play. A reimagining of classic 2005 survival horror updates original game with modern graphics and controls for console.
Capcom offers a brief-look at newly redesigned characters and teases PlayStation VR2 content. Six years after Racoon City event, Leon S. Kennedy returns to action for a rescue operation and finds a grim new terror on March 24, 2023.
Resident Evil Village | PlayStation VR2
Moving over to virtual reality, survival horror is running rampant on PlayStation VR2 with 2021 series entry Resident Evil Village. Its entire story campaign is coming to PS VR2, offering a fully immersive experience with 4K HDR display.
Castle Dimitrescu and textures of its surroundings will feel more lively, thanks to PS5 3D Audio, eye tracking and more. PS VR2 Sense controllers let you to use each hands in-game for a better immersion of firing a gun or holding a knife.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, Chapter 2: Retribution| PlayStation VR2
A direct follow up to first Saints & Sinners game, Skydance Interactive announces The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, Chapter 2: Retribution, releasing on PlayStation VR later in 2022 and at some point in 2023 for PS VR2 after launch.
Retribution is a vengeance-filled story campaign featuring Mama, the leader of The Tower and adds an all-new arsenal of weapons. Chapter 2 introduces lots of gameplay changes and minor tweaks to improve overall visual immersion.

Horizon: Call of the Mountain | Gameplay Trailer
Earlier in January 2022, developer Firesprite and Guerrilla Games revealed Horizon: Call of the Mountain for PS VR2. Latest gameplay trailer introduces protagonist Reyes showing archery as well as and first-person parkour mechanics.
Guerrilla Games releases a major Horizon Forbidden West update today, adding a New Game+ mode. It also includes a respec system, transmog feature, Ultra Hard mode as well as a number of quality-of-life improvements for players.

Marvel's Spider-Man Series | PC Version
While a PS5-exclusive sequel is coming next year, developer Insomniac Games has announced PC debut of Spider-Man series; Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered releases on August 12, 2022 and Spider-Man: Miles Morales in fall 2022.
Insomniac teams up with partner studio Nixxes Software to deliver optimized PC ports of their biggest games. Spider-Man series has sold over 33 million copies so far and a recent job listing hints at more PC releases of PS4-exclusives.
The Callisto Protocol | Gameplay and Release Date Reveal
A year after its reveal, upcoming sci-fi survival horror game The Callisto Protocol by developer Striking Distance Studios and publisher Krafton offers a first-look at gameplay that looks quite similar to a Dead Space-esque atmosphere.
You play as Black Iron prisoner Jacob Lee, who must survive an outbreak of Biophage on dead moon of Jupitar in 2320. The Callisto Protocol promises to unveil a lot of dark secrets in future, arriving for PS4 and 5 on December 2, 2022.
Street Fighter 6 | Gameplay Reveal
Announced back in February, upcoming fighting game Street Fighter 6 by developer/publisher Capcom reveals a new gameplay trailer. SF6 moves to a realistic look and adds a bunch of new generation of warriors, releasing next year.
Street Fighter 6 features real-time commentary as well as three game modes; Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub. SF6 is built on Capcom's proprietary RE Engine, adding a new Drive System gauge, new control types and more.

Final Fantasy XVI | Release Window
With development coming to an end very soon, upcoming PlayStation 5-exclusive action role- playing game Final Fantasy XVI from developer/publisher Square Enix reveals a new gameplay trailer and is set to launch on summer 2023.
Previously called summons, FFXVI dubbed them as Eikons and protagonist Clive Rosfield has a full cache of their attacks for battle. Dominants of Garuda and Titan are introduced, with brief preview of epic in-game action sequences.

| Final Fantasy XVI Release Window Revealed |
Fans were expecting a brief look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and God of War: Ragnarök due to various rumors online. However, they were treated with Resident Evil 4 Remake, Spider- Man PC version, PS VR2 titles and lot more.
Sony may eventually end up hosting a dedicated State of Play event for Ragnarök to showcase some gameplay footage later on. In the meantime, Modern Warfare II announces a worldwide debut trailer, currently set for June 8, 2022.
